Word Wise- August 31, 2016

Word of the Day2

Hello! This will be the last Word Wise post before I go back to school- but no worry! Words will continue to be released every day throughout the month of September. For now, though, here is today’s word of the day and my own example sentence:

CHAGRIN

Noun; a feeling of being annoyed by failure or disappointment

My example sentence: At first, I had a chagrin after poorly losing a 5th grade spelling bee, but nowadays I’m able to laugh at the fact that I got out on the word ‘patient’.

Thanks so much for supporting my Word Wise series this summer! I look forward to sharing more words during the rest of the year.

Gabe
