Divergent by Veronica Roth
Rating: No doubt; 5 stars
Overall Description: It’s a distopian time; many years in the future. The world is broken up into five factions: Dauntless, Abnegation, Candor, Erudite, and Amity. On Beatris’s 16th birthday, she must take an aptitude test to determine which faction best fits her. When she finds the results, she is fit for… three? She is not normal like everyone else. She is divergent. It still all came down to one choice. After choosing Dauntless, Beatris, or “Tris”, must train extremely hard to become a member of the faction, or else she will be… factionless. On the day when she gets the results of initiation, she finds out she had made it in. But when she wakes up the next morning, the entire dauntless population is under a simulation: trained to kill. Only herself and Four are awake. But with the entire Abnegation faction in danger, will she and Four be able to put Erudite’s control to an end?
Recommendation: Yes!
