Math Problem of the Week- June 28th
Use the figure above to find the area of shape. The shape is broken into 5 squares that are all equal. To find the area, you will have to find the area of one individual shape and then multiply it by 5. Remember, the formula for area is length x width. Good luck!

To find the area of one of the squares, you would multiply 22 by 22. Your answer would be 484. Then, you would multiply 484 by 5. Your answer would be 2420, and since we don’t know the measurement, it would be 2420 units.
